“Trans-forming” Business: Identifying Best in Class Strategies to Support Transgender Employees in Every Workplace

When it comes to transgender employees (or any other marginalized group), true inclusion is not simply about creating a more diverse workplace; it’s also about making sure organizations are treating all employees equitably in regards to opportunities, benefits, and people’s everyday work experiences.  Like any inclusion strategy, when considering what it takes to build an inclusive workplace for transgender employees, policy alone will not be enough. In addition to having clearly stated policies and healthcare benefits that are inclusive and supportive of transgender and gender nonconforming employees, it is crucial to include practical and accessible communication, planning, training and organizational culture change strategies that begin to address issues often faced in the workplace.

Join us for Quorum’s Q1 Workplace Alliance event in collaboration with the MSP Workplace Council to learn about emerging best in class strategies to supporting trans and gender nonconforming employees in today’s ever-changing workplaces.  Based in part on Best Buy’s newly created  (and very successful) Transgender Employee Toolkit, this event will enable you to understand and address common issues often experienced by trans employees, share best practices, and is a great opportunity to learn from your peers across business sectors.
