REGISTER TODAY! Quorum's 2019 Business Equality Summit hosted by Best Buy

You are invited to join Quorum for our 1st annual LGBTQ+ and Allied Business Equality Summit on Tuesday, February 21 from 8:30am-2:00pm at Best Buy's Corporate Headquarters located at 7601 Penn Avenue South in Richfield.  

With additional support from Wells Fargo and UPS, we are very excited to present our inaugural Summit! At this event, attendees will have the chance to network with other business professionals, hear remarks from business leaders about the importance of the LGBTQ+ and Allied business community, and attend breakout sessions designed to help your business growth and thrive. Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in two rounds of breakout sessions on a variety of topics impacting business owners and professionals. A detailed list of breakout sessions will be available soon! 

Topics will include addressing sexual harassment in the workplace, how to develop your capabilities statement and elevator speech, how to integrate health into your workplace, how to gain access to capital to grow and scale your business, developing sound financial processes, how to maximize your relationship with the Small Business Administration, among others.

Presenters include Zaylore Stout of Zaylore Stout and Associates, LLC., Anne Hutchinson of Work It, John Heutmaker of Huetmaker Business Advisors, LLC, Don Jackson from the Small Business Administration, and Ryan Lynch from Sunrise Banks, among others.

The cost is $25.00 for Quorum members and $35.00 for non-members. Multiple scholarships are available so that cost should not be a deterrent to attending this unique event. During the afternoon session, Best Buy will provide insight in to how to present in a professional manner to enhance your sales ability when meeting with potential clients. 

In an effort to further LGBTQ supplier diversity across the Twin Cities, Best Buy and Quorum are partnering to offer a unique opportunity to learn from the best.. 

By providing a neutral and nurturing environment, Best Buy hopes to offer support to LGBTQ suppliers by providing thoughtful education about supplier presentation content, messaging, value proposition, materials, style, etc. The overall goal of this program is to help diverse supplier participants distinguish themselves in future corporate sales opportunities and enable them to generate new growth supporting businesses. And, the goal of this opportunity is to enable attendees to gain specific and actionable feedback to incorporate learnings into their organization’s sales efforts.
