The Imperial Court of Minnesota proudly presents an interactive drag show!
The entertainers will all be performing an assigned number that all will be clues to one film. Guests will receive paper, pen, and a guess sheet. When you want to make your one guess on the title of the film turn in to the MC. At the end of the event the winner will be announced who guessed correctly first and receive a basket of 100+ movies! To help you play along get out your cell phones and open Shazam to get the song title and artist of each song. The MC will also let you know the song after each number but by then it may be too late!
After each performance we also will ask a trivia question. The guest who correctly answers first will win 3 movies or 3 CDs! We also will have 12 great Prize Drawings.
We will have our usual $5 admission or $15 get you in with all you can drink rail drinks and domestic beers!
One of the best things about this event is the fact you will see a variety of entertainers including this reign’s line members, Ice Castle Pageant winners, monarchs, board members, special guests, and court members all performing songs given to them. See them interpret different numbers and think out of the box to perform outside their comfort zone!
Proceeds from Glam Shazam will benefit The Quorum Foundation Program of Quorum. Quorum is Minnesota's LGBT and Allied Chamber of Commerce. Quorum builds, connects and strengthens the area's business community. With over 70 free networking, education and certification events, Quorum is a resource for small and large businesses, nonprofits and young professionals. Though Quorum is a business organization, it is a unique Chamber of Commerce in its philanthropic nature. As former Quorum President Todd Park said, “A good environment for business encourages more investment back into the community economically, philanthropically and culturally…Quorum is a fitting place for these organizations as we all share a common objective in improving the world around one life at a time…achieving unity in the community.” Many of Quorum’s members are nonprofits and they often speak passionately about how Quorum and our members have helped to sustain nonprofits throughout the Twin Cities. Executive Director Rebecca Waggoner-Johnson will be on hand to talk about Quorum and have materials about the organization.
