SESSION 4: Social Media: How to Avoid Risks and Protect Your Business-Wednesday, March 2nd!

Social media creates both great opportunity and great risk for businesses over the last decade.  It can be a valuable tool for marketing, a resource for recruiters to identify and research candidates, and offers opportunities to promote company culture. However, use and misuse of social media can have legal consequences for businesses and employers of all sizes.  This seminar will address legal pitfalls surrounding use of social media in marketing and in the workplace.

 Kate Bischoff, Zelle LLP

 An energetic and enthusiastic attorney and SHRM-SCP/SPHR-certified human resources professional, Kate advises executives and human resources professionals in a wide range of industries on employment law matters from recruitment to termination and beyond. Rory Zamansky is commercial litigator who has vigorously represented his clients throughout the United States.  Rory’s practice focuses on complex litigation and dispute resolution. His clients range from individuals to Fortune 50 companies.  In particular, he has extensive experience defending financial services firms in challenging, high stakes lawsuits.  Rory has substantial experience in the areas of commercial contract and business disputes, insurance, reinsurance, employment matters, and class actions.
